Purtseladze said that the look outside may not notice the problems in the Georgian press freedom, however the real situation is much harder. As well she said that the "Reporters without Borders" are taking the information from the government controlled NGOs .

"The independent press in Georgia is in a very hard situation. The changes and improvements exist but they are not an achievement of the government. Here does not exist the object for the pressure for the government. The government is calm because the newspapers are not of high circulation. The press is free from the government but it still controls the electronic media. So for the external observer the press is free and the level of the press freedom increased, but journalists know well what happens in fact and what irresistible problems are in the press, " - Purtseladze said to GHN.
