Loti Kobalia demanded reinvestigation of journalist�s murder case

Loti Kobalia, member of the political movement "Fair Georgia" declared that he is absolutely innocent in the case of murder of Davit Bolkvadze, journalist ( happening during the 90s civil confrontation). He said that he is imprisoned for many years for the false accusation.
"The family of Davit Bolkvadze is well informed that I had had no connection with this case. I talked as well about this with his sister in details, "- Vakhtang (Loti) Kobalia said during the press conference on October 24. He said that he was forced to write a false confession, under the pressure of the false witnesses, as if he committed the crime.
Loti Kobalia demands to reopen the investigation and he promised to cooperate with the investigative bodies. He is sure that the fair investigation will prove his innocence.
"I am informed about the murder case and I will pass this information to the investigation. I can say to the investigation name of the people who were witnesses of the murder case, they can give the truth information for the investigation, " - said the member of political movement "Fair Georgia" .
During the press conference he said that even up to today many innocent people are imprisoned since the Shevardnadze's regime, all they are prisoners of conscience. They are accused in terroristic actions. Kobalia said that he is sure these people are innocent, and demands to release them.
Kobalia said that he is connected with the party of Zurab Nogaideli (Fair Georgia) because of the wish to fight against unfairness.
