Preliminary data unveiled by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) showed that the voter turnout at the 5 September Moldovan constitutional referendum was 29.67 per cent., informs GHN referring to MOLDPRES.

According to the CEC, the data are not complete as several polling districts, among which Dubasari district, have not been presented yet.

CEC secretary Iurie Ciocan said that several populated areas were blacked-out and could not send the electoral data. He added that the CEC was waiting for results from Moldova s embassies abroad.

The voter turnout should be 33 per cent for the referendum to be validated.
