Political movement of Nino Burjanadze presented the own National Security concept. The presentation was held in the hotel "Court Yard Marriott". Experts, representatives of different political parties and the dip corp. in Georgia attended the meeting. Burjanadze declared that the main priorities of the document is a restoration of the Georgia's sovereignty, and unity, strengthening and defense, as well the development of the state based on the democratic values. The creation of Georgia as a reliable partner, which will be able to fulfill the international obligations in security issues.

"The national security concept which is developed by us is based on the following priorities: to restore the sovereignty and unity, strengthening and the defense, the country must be based on the democratic values and the democratic reforms must be not only for façade. Our major goal as well is to make our country as a reliable partner and to be stable, that will provide the fulfillment of the international obligations deriving from its security and safety, " - Burjanadze said.

At the same time she said that the concept was developed with the experts and it stipulated the internal and external challenges for the country. Moreover the document contains the deep analysis of the situation in the country and notes which steps are to be taken for the overcoming the crisis.
