Tomorrow on November 4 in "Sheraton Metekhi Palace" new conference will be hold for supporting of media.
On the conference the presentation of the project "The strengthening of the media in Georgia as a controlling institution" will be hold.
The conference aims to introduce to the Georgian government, to the civil society, to journalists, to enlightening institutions and to the wide society the main streams of the project, which are to support the independence of the media in Georiga, to the regional broadcasting, the investigative journalism and the defense of the rights of journalists.
In the frames of the project it is planned to conduct the regular meetings with a participation of all interested parties. On the meetings the problems of madia will be discussed and the medium results of the project.
The conference will present the measures, the main of which is the Legal Defence Center of Georgian Media. As well here will be presented the initiatives of institutional development of regional broadcasting association.
The project is implemented by the financial support of EU.
