EU calls Russia for the modernization based on the democratic values. The declaration was made after the accomplishment of EU-Russia summit by the President of the organization Herman Van Rompey on the joint Press conference with Russian President Medvedev. "I passed to the Russian President the message of EU member countries that calls for the modernization of Russia based on the democratic values, "- EU President said.
At the same time Herman Van Rompey called the Moscow to allow OSCE observation mission to the Georgian territory and noted undecided conflicts are dangerous for EU and as well for Russia.
We have undecided prolonged conflicts, that are dangerous for EU and for Russian Federation. EU is actively involved in peaceful regulation of the conflicts. We called Russian party for the renovation of the OSCE mission functioning on the Georgian territory and those efforts that will be directed for the security the regulation of the conflict peacefully, according to the 2008 agreement on cease fire, "- EU President said.
