City Court to review Tsotne Gamsakhurdia case

Today on February 18 Tbilisi City Court will review the case of Tsotne Gamsakhurdia. The first court hearing will be a preparatory one and there will be decided whether or not to be joined two cases against Gamsakhurdia and its review at the same time.
The review of cases against Gamsakhurdia have to be opened on February 8, but they were postponed because of the illness of a Judge.
We remind you that the son of first president of Georgia , Zviad Gamsakhurdia - Tsotne was detained by law enforcers on October 27 with accusation in wounding of his neighbor - Davit Bajelidze. Gamsakhurdia is alleged in murder attempt and illegal bearing of arms. Damsakhurdia denies such accusations. This case against Gamsakhurdia is a 4-th one. He already has been accused by the Article 315 of Criminal Code - coup-d'état. At that time he was punished on demand. The case touched the 2007 November 7 protest actions when he was accused in espionage with Russian Federation.
