The European Court of Human Rights in connection with the case Georgia v Russian Federation will question Mathias Yiorsh, PACE monitoring committee speaker and Giorgi Tughushi, Georgian Public Defender. The Georgian delegation being in Strasbourg said the Court decided to question them. The Court hearing in Strasburg was opened several hour ago with the hearing of witnesses of Georgian side. Except of the citizens deported form RF in 2006, Zurab Pataridze, Georgian consul in RF at that period, will be questioned.
TO be noted that from February 2 the Russian side will start question the witnesses of Russian party. Russian Federation has 10 witnesses presented, among them several militia representatives and migration service worker.
For information, in Strasbourg Court of Human Rights the hearing of the case against Russian Federation is pending. The case touches question of 2006 mass deportation of Georgian citizens from RF on the ethnical ground. Yesterday Court questioned several victims of Georgian party, the questioning continues .
