Nino Kalandadze, Deputy Foreign Minister said today during the traditional briefing in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the recommendations which were given to Georgia by international community are to be considered, as they are in the interest of our state. She commented the recommendations of EC President concerning the investigation of May 26 events (protest action dispersion). “We are not talking about the obligations, as the Georgian state is sovereign and has own institutions functioning appropriately.
Nevertheless this is in our interests to take in view this recommendations and Georgia takes into consideration such recommendations especially carefully,” – Kalandadze said. She said that the recommendations of Jose Mannuel Barroso, President of European Commision are already takes in view by the law enforcing bodies. She noted that this is in the interests of Georgia first of all to investigate fairly all those facts which were questionable and which might be connected with some breach. The recommendations are very important for us, that’s why we are obeying to our international partners and friends, “ – Kalandadze said.
