On November 22-24, three members of the U.S. House of Representatives will visit Tbilisi. The visit includes meetings with President Saakashvili, Speaker of Parliament Bakradze and other lawmakers, Prime Minister Gilauri, National Security Council Secretary Bokeria, as well as with representatives from opposition parties. The U.S. Members of Congress will visit a Public Service Hall and participate in the ceremony to unveil a statue of Ronald Reagan in Rike Park on November 23.
The visiting delegation includes the following U.S. Representatives: David Dreier (Republican-California), Ed Whitfield (Republican-Kentucky), and Donald Payne (Democrat-New Jersey), and Mr. Barry Jackson, Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House. Representative Dreier, who leads the delegation, is Chairman of the House Committee on Rules.
