Grigol Vashadze, Georgian Foreign Minister said the declaration of Russian President Medvediev is a ‘gift' for Georgia. Medvediev said the 2008 August war postponed the NATO affiliation for Georgia.
"This is a political confession of Dmitri Medvediev. I would say that at my 53 I rarely heard such things. He made a confession without any pressure over him. This is a blissful notion for the future Georgian-Russian relations development, "- Vashadze said in his interview with BBC.
"This is an outrageous confession that the main reason of starting the war with Georgia in 2008 August was preventing to Georgia the NATO membership. This was declared openly without hesitations."
