Yazij Burkhansh, a 45-year-old citizen of Turkey from Ankara was wounded with a knife in the vicinity of Batumi Sheraton Hotel in the seaside city of Batumi of Adjara region.
The wounded man was taken to Batumi Republican Hospital where he was operated on. His health condition is stable.
According to Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the crime is solved. Ramaz Khimshiashvili, 44, a suspect is arrested.
Investigation is opened under Article #118 of Criminal Code of Georgia on charge of pre-meditated infliction of body injuries.
