About 50 patients were brought to the Tbilisi Burns Center during the last one month with body-burns diagnosis as a result of non-traditional method of sun-tanning.
One of the patients has received burns following pouring of a fig-tree liquid onto the body. Twenty people received thermal burns while being on a vacation to Mleta village of Dusheti Municipality.
Doctors call on patients to avoid harsh rays of the sun at afternoon and wear caps for self-protection.
