The Georgian Parliament today will discuss a legislative initiative that obliges cable TVs to broadcast all TV channels during the pre-election period through the second and third hearing.
The initiative will serve as change to be made into Election Code of Georgia.
The so-called "Must Carry" principle will have been approved by the parliament in a speedily manner by the end of this week.
According to the bill, the cable companies will be obliged to carry broadcasts during 60 days before the day of elections.
The Parliamentary minority supports the draft bill, however demanding to last Must Carry regulation after the elections day till the official results are declared.
