The political committee of Parliamentary Assembly (PA) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has supported the resolution about Georgia today.
The Russian delegation was only who was against the resolution.
A polish deputy prepared the resolution text. Resolution talks about the occupied territories of Georgia, return of IDPs and non-fulfillment of ceasefire agreement.
The PA of OSCE will express its concern regarding humanitarian situations in these two regions. The OSCE PA will reiterate support to Georgia's territorial integrity and state sovereignty. It will also call on Russia to admit European Union's international monitors into the territories.
The members of Russian delegation said that the resolution text was not objective, however the foreign colleagues reminded them the unfulfilled commitments and ethnic cleansing carried out in 2008.
