The U.S. Embassy is sponsoring the American Days festival in Batumi from July 23-29. The festival will include a number of cultural and artistic events, as well as nightly screenings of American Noir movies. All events will be free and open to the public and the press.
The Adjara Museum of Art, 8 Gorgiladze Street, will host a photo exhibition of 19th and 20th century U.S. photography from Tuesday, July 24 through Sunday, July 29. The exhibit includes a number of photographs by highly-acclaimed early western photographers, including Timothy Sullivan and Carlton Watkins. The exhibit's grand opening will take place at 18:00, July 23 and the press and public are welcome to attend.
Roman Rudnytsky, a graduate of New York's Juilliard School and acclaimed pianist, will perform a classical concert at the Ilia Chavchavadze State Dramatic Theater on Thursday, July 26 at 20:00. The concert is free to the public.
A free screening of American Noir movies will take place each night beginning July 23. Movies start at 20:00 and will be screened in the main hall of Batumi State University.
