Long and short term international observer missions work monitor the process of parliamentary elections in Georgia. The first group of observers will arrive in Georgia in September. Under the invitation of the government of Georgia, the elections will be monitored by the observers of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, European Parliament, European Council and the NATO parliamentary assembly.
The international observers will work not only on the day of elections, but they will also monitor pre-election campaigns of all political parties. Fifty countries have been sent special statements to observe elections in Georgia.
