Three most important issues for Georgian people are - unemployment, affordable health care and territorial integrity, according to the recent Public Attitude Survey conducted by the National Democratic Institute in Georgia. The results of the survey were presented in Tbilisi today.
The survey was conducted in the first half of August 2012 and it is based on the face-to-face interviews with 2038 people.
57% of the respondents said the most topical problem in Georgia today was unemployment, 35% said - affordable health care and 34% answered - problems of territorial integrity.
When questioned if the country was developing in the right direction, 54% of the respondents answered `definitely` or `mainly` yes.
42% of the interviewed citizens believe that Georgia is a democracy. The result on the question `Do you think Georgia is a democracy?`, is with 5% higher in comparison with the previous survey; the number of the respondents, who though there is no democracy in Georgia has also reduced to 40%.
77% of the interviewed respondents answered yes on the following question: ` if 2012 parliamentary elections were held tomorrow, would you vote?`.
