(AzerTAc). Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan on September 5th met with Mazahir Panahov, the Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan.
According to CEC, Panahov stressed a memorandum between the election commissions of the two countries was signed and the sides share their experience under the memorandum.
The ambassador highly appreciated the development of Azerbaijan. He delivered the invitation of Ukraine to CEC of Azerbaijan to participate in the Supreme Rada elections due on October 28 as an observer. Expressing his gratitude for the invitation, Panahov said that the employees of CEC have participated in the elections held in Ukraine before. He added that the CEC employees will participate in the elections both as an independent delegation and within the international delegations.
Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
