Secretary General of the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Anders Fogh Rasmussen published his video address on his Facebook page.
Secretary General talks about the importance of the South Caucasus and evaluates Georgia as important partner for security of the North Atlantic system in a special video address from Georgia.
Rasmussen thanked Georgia for the substantial contribution to the Alliance's ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
Secretary General said that NATO cooperates with Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in the sphere of security and defense reforms, and supports the continuation of cooperation in this regard.
"We want to enhance stability in this region and promote democracy, freedom and human rights. South Caucasus have great economic potential, but that potential is blocked by unresolved conflicts. Tensions in this region must be reduced and concrete steps must be taken to promote regional cooperation and reconciliation", - Anders Fogh Rasmussen said.
