Thousands of people are stuck in German airports because of another strike by Lufthansa cabin crew.
The 24-hour walkout has forced the firm to ground half its flights, leaving an estimated 100,000 passengers stranded.
The union says it wants a better pay and conditions package, but it appears the two sides are still far apart with Lufthansa refusing mediation.
UFO union leader Nicoley Baublies said: "We expect some substantial movement and we think there will be talks over the coming days so that we can avoid further strike actions.
Talks between Lufthansa and UFO broke down a week ago having failed to result in an agreement for 13 months.
The union wants a 5 percent pay increase and guarantees against outsourcing and the use of temporary workers.
