(
TANJUG).Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Titov said on Thursday that he agrees that Russian investments in Serbia should increase, confirmed that Moscow intends to keep the promise to help Serbia get back on its feet and added that Russia's position on Serbia's EU and N??? membership has not changed. The more our cooperation develops, the more benefit for the Serbian economy. This is what is most important, as well as investments in infrastructure. A very serious loan is being prepared for railways and this will serve for the benefit of your economy, Titov told Radio-Television of Serbia. As he put it, Russia has so far given soft loans for the Serbian budget. If Serbia makes similar requests in the future, we are ready to consider them, said the Russian official, who thinks that the EU path is the right path for Serbia. Every country, he added, decides on its own whether it will be member of this or that organization. We still do not see any contradictions in the fact that you are striving to become an EU member and at the same time develop relations with us. These two things are not inconsistent. The EU is our most important trade partner, and when it comes to joining NATO, you will decide on that on yourselves, too. The way I see it, you pursue a policy of nonalignment with which we are very impressed, Titov concluded.
