Five million people have been left in the dark after a huge power failure in western Cuba.
The outage affected a 40-kilometre stretch around the capital, Havana, which is home to 2.2 million people.
The city of Pinar del Rio and tourist hotspot Varadero have also been cut off.
State media said the outage happened between Ciego de Avila & Santa Clara.
But the report offered no explanation as to why or when power would be restored.
Blackouts are not uncommmon in Cuba, due to the country's ageing electricity grid.
