Rallies were held in regions of Georgia to protest over the violent attitude against prisoners as revealed in the Gldani #8 Prison in Tbilisi.
Protests were held in Batumi, Poti, Zugdidi, Kutaisi and Telavi cities. Demonstrators called on the authorities for adequate reaction.
Irakli Alasania, Majoritarian (single mandate) MP Candidate of "Georgian Dream" coalition in Zugdidi, joined the protest in Samegrelo region.
Giorgi Akhvlediani, Majoritarian MP Candidate of Christian-Democratic Movement (CDM) Party participated in the rally in Kutaisi. He insisted on launching of immediate investigation into the matter.
