The chairman of the Georgian Central Election Commission Zurab Kharatishvili met with the representatives of Non governmental Organizations and Media.
The main issue discussed at the meeting was regulation of decree on photo-video shooting during the election process.
After the meeting the session is scheduled at the CEC, where the final decision over the regulation will be made.
According to the draft of the regulation, it is allowed to record interview with people who have right to be in the polling station only outside the polling building. The commission members can give interviews only with consent of the commission chairperson and without hindering his obligations in the polling process. Secret photo-video shooting is not allowed in the polling station.
Representative of the nongovernmental organizations say that these regulations are against the law and violates not only the observers' but media representatives' rights.
