Politician and film director Goga Khaindrava complains about political pressure from government. Khaindrava told journalists that the criminal cases against him, which accuses him of connection with criminal network, have been fabricated.
Khaindrava says there are no real grounds for criminal investigation against him and pressure is tied with his documentary film the Beacon of Democracy. Khaindrava also urges the embassy of France in Georgia to monitor the process of investigation. In addition, he plans to file a lawsuit in French Court.
`This is a common hysteria on legislative and moral level. I am sure that I will be given a possibility to look into this absolutely illegal and unbridled terror, which is carried out against my family and me together with the French side,` Khaindrava said.
Khaindrava will be interrogated by the police later today. Prosecutor`s office has questions to him regarding the video footage and photos received from the French law enforcers. Once he was already interrogated. Khaindrava is suspected of money laundering and membership of the criminal network.
