The Central Election Commission of Georgia has reported that the voter turnout by 15:00 was 45%, which is a quite high number. This is the result of the voter turnout on 98 polling stations by this time. The voter turnout at the special precincts in foreign countries has not been counted yet.
Press speaker for the CEC, Eka Azarashvili said at the briefing today that the CEC hotline had received 2260 calls and questions mostly referred to voting procedures.
Azarashvili has also confirmed the report that the civil persons entered the Kojori military base, where a special closed precinct was opened for officers serving there, though she added that they did not go there for voting.
Azarashvili said the elections were underway without serious violations.
