Spokesperson of the United National Movement Chiora Taktakishvili has denied the allegations of the opposition coalition Georgian Dream about UNM campaigning at polling stations and the attempts of pressure on voters.
Maia Panjikidze of the GD said at the briefing today that numerous violations were reported from different constituencies. She said at some polling stations voters were taking the ballots with the UNM number marked on it, which they showed to people waiting for them outside. In addition, she said the VIN of the vehicles, which were parked outside the polling stations controlling the vote of the UNM supporters. She also said there were attempts of vote rigging by voting several times.
Chiora Taktakishvili held a responding briefing and said the allegations were groundless, as the representatives of the ruling party were organizing transportation of their supporters to the polling stations legally and that this process did not contradict legislation.
