Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) denies that police opened fire in the vicinity of the polling stations.
As MIA statement reads, information spread by some news sources as if the police sub divisions used force in the vicinity of the polling stations and opened fire is falsehood.
"MIA categorically denies this information. Policemen protected outside perimeter of the polling stations, where some problems were recorded. The police didn't use any weapon. At all the polling stations, from where notice arrived at the police, mobilization was carried out and activists dispersed without any resistance", the statement reads.
