The Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) published preliminary results of the 2012 parliamentary elections held on October 1 in Georgia. The CEC counted 15% of votes; and the results as per 577 polling stations are as follows:
1. United National Movement (UNM) - More Benefit to People (5) -- 42.08 %
2. Bidzina Ivanishvili - Georgian Dream (41) - 52.77 %
3. Giorgi Targamadze - Christian-Democratic Union (10) -- 2.23%
4. Shalva Natelashvili- Georgian Labor Party (38) -- 1.36%
Other political parties running in elections received less than 1% of votes.
There were 16 political subjects --14 political parties and 2 election blocs participating in the 2012 parliamentary elections in Georgia. The political parties running in the elections were as follows:

The 2 political blocs running in the elections were as follows:
1. Giorgi Targamadze - Christian-Democratic Union (10);
2. Bidzina Ivanishvili - Georgian Dream (41).
There are 6 parties united in Georgian Dream coalition: Democratic Georgia, Conservative Party, Industry Will Save Georgia, Republican Party, Our Georgia - Free Democrats and National Forum.
The CEC published preliminary results of 7 out of 10 Majoritarian (single mandate) precincts; and the results are as follows:
Mtatsminda: Zaza Papuashvili (Georgian Dream) - 67, 23 %;
Vake: Shalva Shavgulidze (Georgian Dream) - 70, 27%;
Saburtalo: Davit Usupashvili (Georgian Dream) - 67, 72 %;
Krtsanisi: Shota Khabareli (Georgian Dream) - 53, 87 %;
Isani: Aleksandre Kantaria (Georgian Dream) - 63, 57 %;
Nadzaladevi: Tea Tsuluikiani (Georgian Dream) - 82, 94 %;
Gldani: Ioseb Jachvliani (Georgian Dream) - 68, 46%.
The CEC has not yet published the results of vote counting from Samgori and Chughureti districts.
CEC published preliminary results of elections based on Majoritarian (single mandate) system in Georgia's several cities, and the results are as follows:
Kutaisi: Gubaz Sanikidze (Georgian Dream) - 48, 73 %;
Zugdidi: Roland Akhalaia (United National Movement) - 55, 47 %;
Telavi: Gela Samkharauli (Georgian Dream) - 47, 55 %;
Rustavi: Zviad Dzidziguri (Georgian Dream) - 55, 28 %.
The results from Batumi and Gori are not yet available.
