Coalition Georgian Dream, which has gained majority in the new parliament in the October 1 parliamentary elections, begins consultations with the current government of Georgia today. The consultation group of the GD consists of Irakli Alasania, Davit Usupashvili and Irakli Gharibashvili. The government`s group, which will negotiate with the GD leaders regarding the hand over of the rule to the coalition, will be represented by State Security Secretary Giga Bokeria, Tbilisi mayor Gigi Ugulava, parliament chairperson Davit Bakradze and the leader of the United National Movement Pavle Kublashvili.
Irakli Alasania says the process of hand over of the government will be conducted peaceful and will be over soon. He also said the internal consultations on staffing the new cabinet of ministers will be also over soon and the leader of the coalition, Bidzina Ivanishvili will present the new candidates of the ministers to parliament and the president personally.
