Leader of the Georgian Dream coalition and the candidate of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili says he would nominate Vakhtang Khmaladze as the candidate of president of Georgia if elections were held now. Ivanishvili made this statement after presenting the candidates of the ministers today. He said the constitution of Georgia needed to be amended and this process would begin with the participation of Vakhtang Khmaladze.
`It is too early to speak about the candidate of president, but I think Khmaladze is the best candidate on this position. I may change my opinion in a year, but now I think so,` Ivanishvili said.
He also did not rule out to meet with Saakashvili tomorrow. He said the meeting will be appointed at the negotiations between the new team and the outgoing government of Georgia, which is held today.
Ivanishvili also said the main instruction given to his team members in the first place was `no corruption and no pressure on business`. He said the ministers were given an opportunity to appoint their deputies themselves.
