Georgian Foreign Minister, Mr. Grigol Vashadze, paid a working visit to Latvia and Estonia, during which he held bilateral meetings with his Latvian and Estonian counterparts, Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs ana Mr. Urmas Paet.
Discussions focused upon the recent parliamentary elections held in Georgia and upon these elections` democratic nature and importance.
Ministers also discussed the recent successes Georgia has achieved in terms of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the irreversibility and continuity of this process. The Latvian and Estonian Foreign Ministers reaffirmed their governments` unequivocal support for Georgia`s territorial integrity and for the policy of not recognizing Georgia`s occupied territories.
Talking points also included prospects for further deepening partnership and various other issues of regional and international importance.
The Georgian and Latvian Foreign Ministers held a joint press-conference for mass media representatives.
