NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative to South Caucasus and Central Asia has departed from Georgia after an overloaded schedule of meetings during his one day visit. James Appathurai summed up his visit with a brief comment for media in the airport saying the October 1 parliamentary elections were a test for Georgia, which it has passed with great success.
Within the visit to Georgia, Appathurai has met with the future prime minister Bidzina Ivanishvili and other members of the new cabinet. He focused on the prospects of Georgia`s integration into the alliance and recommended the upcoming government to continue democratic reforms.
