Budget, constitutional amendments and the election of the public defender are the issues, which will be discussed by the lawmakers at the session of the bureau today. After approving the Cabinet of Ministers, the parliament begins to look into the details of the state budget 2013.
Parliamentary majority says that the priorities of the state budget will be funding the development of agriculture sector, social programs, health care and education. This week will be dedicated to the sessions of the committees. The lawmakers also plan to hold meetings with voters.
The date of the election of the public defender will be also determined this week. Four candidates have been already nominated by various NGOs. They are - Tamar Gurchiani, Lia Mukhashavria, Gela Nikolaishvili and Dimitri Lortkipanidze.
