Bidzina Ivanishvili had his first working day as the prime minister - Ivanishvili discussed specific issues with Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze, Minister of Defense, Irakli Alasania and Minister of Agriculture Davit Kirvalidze.
Foreign Minister said they discussed the nearest visits of the Prime Minister abroad and other organization issues.
Defense Minister said he reported the situation in the defense sector to Prime Minister.
`It was our first working meeting. I reported to Prime Minister about the situation in the system, including fiscal issues and the level of preparedness of the army,` Alasania said.
Davit Kirvalidze has also made comment about the meeting and the issues discussed today. He said they focused on the details of how the one billion GEL foundation for the development of agriculture should be created.
`The goal of this foundation is to attract investments - flow of foreign capital, however, there will be a budget, which will do its work and naturally, it will be in accord with this foundation,` Minister said.
Ambassador of the United States to Georgia, Rochard Norland has also visited the Government`s Chancellery today and handed over the letter of congratulation sent by President Obama to Bidzina Ivanishvili.
`It was my honor to deliver to Prime Minister Ivanishvili a letter from president Obama and IM taking this opportunity to congratulate the prime minister and his government on their first day in office and to wish them good luck and to reassure them of the continued US commitment to support Georgia in all of its activities and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations,` Ambassador Norland said.
