/UKRINFORM/. The Verkhovna Rada elections have taken place, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Andriy Mahera briefed the press on Monday.
"Surely, the vote has taken place. Ukrainian people expressed their attitude, and the official returns of the elections will be known by November 12, if not earlier," said Mahera.
He also reminded that the Ukrainian law does not specify the threshold of voter turnout.
"It does not matter how many people have voted - 50% of voters or less - the elections can be considered valid," noted Mahera.
