Minister of Education of Georgia has made a special statement regarding enormous number of letters of protest delivered to the ministry recently. The teachers and the directors of different schools are mostly objecting to their dismissal and ask the minister to provide their return to their jobs at schools.
The minister called upon the sides to reach agreement and return the dismissed employs to their jobs, but he also added that in case the sides failws to agree, a special commission would be formed, which would be in charge of investigating all decisions, which were assessed as politically motivated.
`As a minister of education and science, I believe that all sides were in the position of victims in the authoritarian system, which the country has passed through. Our policy is entirely different from that of the previous government and we do not want to have the system, education in particular, divided according to political sympathies. The education system should serve to bring up future generations and this must be done in a healthy environment,` Minister has said.
