The relatives of Zurab Shamatava, former commander of the fourth brigade of Georgian armed forces, have commented on his detention. A close relative Nona Kartvelishvili says the law enforcers entered their house asserting they were there for interrogation, but they presented the order of house search, when there were three underage children and a pregnant wife at home. It happened at 6 a.m. They also say the police took away all the cash they found at home.
Zurab Shamatava was arrested yesterday by the prosecutor`s office of Georgia under the order of justice minister. He is suspected of misusing authority.
