Minister of Justice of Georgia has voiced several initiatives - one includes reduction of the authority of the Supreme Court chairperson and the other - change of the rule on collection of sentences by law court.
The Ministry has already launched to work on the two initiatives. Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani has presented the draft bill to the society, to which NGO Young Georgian Lawyer`s Association has already declared support.
Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Konstantine Kublashvili disapproves the initiatives, asserting the decision will affect the independence of the judiciary.
