Georgian President concluded his visit to Brussels with a meeting with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz. Saakashvili and Schulz held a joint briefing after the meeting.
The European senior authority called upon the new government of Georgia and President for collaboration. Martin Schulz said constructive cooperation was necessary prior to the presidential elections, which would be held in 2013.
President of the European Parliament also commented on the recent arrests in Georgia, while Mikheil Saakashvili expressed his readiness to cooperate with the new government of Georgia.
