Gvaramia was appointed on t his position yesterday. Former Director General Mr. Giorgi Gegeshidze is still holding 9%-share of the company assets; furthermore, according to the founders` decision Mr. Gegeshidze has assumed an office of a chairperson of the supervisory board of the broadcasting company.

`I am going to join the work of country`s N1 television intensively and contribute my experience to the progress, which the company has had during past 15 years,` Nika Gvaramia said, adding he was a lawyer by education and had serious experience in management, which he was going to use for the effective work of the company.

Gvaramia made definitions regarding the reports about the sell off of shares of the company and its connection with another TV company `Sakartvelo.

`I`d like to remind you that Rustavi2 and its founders have no legal connection with the persons, who purchased the frequencies of TV Company Sakartvelo, though the founders of the two TV Companies are the same - Levan and Giorgi Karamanishvilis. Rustavi2 has been handed over the property - studios, devices, building of the TV Company Sakartvelo and its founders have chosen this strategy - to remain the founders of the leading company Rustavi2,` Nika Gvaramia announced.
