Lawyers of former senior officials of the interior ministry Shota Khizanishvili and Vazha Leluashvili plan to appeal the ruling of the Tbilisi City Court. The appeal will be sent to the Tbilisi City Court, which will be afterwards sent to the Appeals Court within the next 48 hours.
The lawyers are objecting to the ruling of the TCC, which has sent the defendants to custody under pre-trial sentence. Former deputy mayor of Tbilisi and the deputy minister of interior Shota Khizanishvili was charged with abuse of duties and illegal obtaining of information by using modern technologies and its illegal release.
