The Tbilisi City Court ruled out not to impose prison term to Giorgi Kalandadze, Head of the Joint Staff of Georgia's Armed Forces. The trial ended earlier this afternoon.
Georgia's Prosecutor's Office released new evidences into the case of Kalandadze on November 19.
One of the witnesses and a victim tell in details the episode taking place at a restaurant how on September 13, 2011 Kalandadze physically and verbally assaulted Zviad Abesadze.
Abesadze was called at the restaurant by Bacho Akhalaia, former Minister of Internal Affairs. The victim was also forced to give his car to the Penitentiary Department as a gift.
The Prosecutor's Office claims that Bacho Akhalaia and his security officers Gaga Mkurnalidze, Manuchar Daraselia, Giorgi Kintsurashvili and Kalandadze were presented charges under 2nd and 3rd items of Article 143 of Criminal Code of Georgia.
