Russian Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev has said that Russia is prepared for restoring dialogue with Georgia but only by considering new geo-political reality.
This is the term, which the Russian leadership proposes to Georgia for the beginning of dialogue. In his interview with Kommersant newspaper, Medvedev said the process of restoring dialogue between the two countries would be a very difficult process.
`This is not an easy way, but Russia has been always saying that we are ready for a dialogue with new Georgian authorities. But of course, only with the account of the existing geopolitical realities and decisions to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia,` Medvedev said.
When asked about a new government, Medvedev said he was observing the real activities of Georgia`s new Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili.
`There are cultural ties. The restoration of trade-economic relations is also feasible. This is not an easy way, but Russia has been always saying that we are ready for a dialogue with new Georgian authorities. But of course, only with the account of the existing geopolitical realities and decisions to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia,` Medvedev said.
Medvedev also reiterated that President Saakashvili was the only person, with whom he would` never share a table`.
