Building of the parliament situated on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi has been returned to Georgia`s legislative government. Chief of parliament staff, Zurab Marakvelidze has made explanations in this regards.
`The building of the parliament on Rustaveli Avenue has been returned to the balance of the legislative government in unlimited possession by the economic ministry. Now the building will be explored, its current condition, if anything was damaged inside, if anything was lost - everything will be assessed and a plan will be prepared to bring the building to the state, when it will be capable for fulfilling all functions necessary for normal work of the parliament,` Zurab Marakvelidze said.
Since the construction of the building of a new parliament in Kutaisi, the previous building was in the possession of the Partnership Foundation, which was founded in 2011 and was chaired by former prime minister Nika Gilauri.
