Kakha Getsadze, Governor of Zertaphoni town of Imereti region and President of Wrestiling Federation was presented charges officially last night. A criminal case is opened against the Governor under several articles.
Kutaisi City Hall will discuss imposition of prison term to Getsadze today. The governor pleads innocent.
The Chief Prosecutor's Office released a statement regarding Getsadze's detention. The statement says that on May 22, 2011, during the party dedicated to the victory of "Zestaphoni" Football Club, Getsadze, being under influence of alcohol, physically assaulted a person. He then hit a car belonging to Imereti Administration. The damage amounts 1550 GEL.
