Officers of Gardabani police division of Kvemo Kartli Regional Main Division detained Avtandil A (DoB 1982 previously convicted for Illicit Keeping and Transfer of drugs) in the village of Gachiani. During the personal search one package of heroine was seized by the law enforcers.
In connection with the mentioned fact an investigation was launched under the article 260 II part of the Criminal Code of Georgia which envisages up to 12 years of imprisonment.
As a result of activities held by the forensic division on the place where Avtandil A was detained' law enforcers managed to detain another person, the citizen of Azerbaijan Sultan B in Isani-Samgori district of Tbilisi on the territory of open market for vehicles.
After searching the vehicle owned by Sultan B. law enforcers have detected up to 5 grams of Marijuana. Sultan B. will be charged within the terms defined by the law in accordance with the article 260 I part of Criminal Code of Georgia. The committed crime envisages up to 10 years of imprisonment.
