Georgia's President Mikheil Saakashvili has met with Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission, during his visit to Armenia.
According to the President's Administration, the sides discussed issues of Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration and deepening of cooperation.
Mikheil Saakashvili and Jose Manuel Barroso talked about the recent developments of Georgia too. The European Commission President once again noted the progress attained by Georgia on its path of Euro-integration and expressed hope that Georgia will still continue progress and democratic development.
Saakashvili and Jose Manuel Barroso talked about the necessity for cooperation with eastern partnership countries and noted that engagement of those countries is very important from the point of view of security and economic strengthening.
