Ucha Nanuashvili will be Georgia's new Public Defender for the next 5 years. The parliament approved his candidacy with 82 votes for and 18 against.
Nanuashvili, 38, has been working as human rights watch for 15 years. He is the founder and director of the non-governmental organization Human Rights Center.
